Our outdoor learning trips unite generations to explore Ayrshire's unique geology. Local residents and volunteers gain health, happiness, and deep civic pride by becoming stewards of our heritage.

This upgrade will enhance Dundonald Castle's Visitor Centre and Community Hub, improving facilities for 30,000+ annual visitors and creating a better environment for our community, team, locals and tourists.

Our project links in to the priority "Making Coastal Communities more attractive places to live and work" by providing creative opportunities for local people to come together to learn new skills and contribute to community produced woven art works as well as providing paid work for a local artist to run the sessions

The Hub will install Solar panels plus Battery storage and a Heat Pump source to ensure the best environmental conditions possible and contributes to all carbon neutral requirements.

The Alloway Railway Tunnel ART is an arts and heritage community project creating a stunning mural within a disused railway tunnel near the Brig O’Doon, Alloway, Ayrshire. At 300m it’s one of the largest murals in Scotland. The project of a guided video tour will benefit local residents, visitors and international tourists who want to find out more information and stories about the mural and Ayrshire history from artist Chris Rutterford as they walk around viewing the mural.
