Supporting local creatives and businesses in South Ayrshire through a grassroots film development project creating paid opportunities and creative participation.Please describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? (i.e., purchase equipment/resources)
We are developing a grassroots creative film project based in South Ayrshire that will support local creative participation, paid opportunities and collaboration within the arts sector. Funding will be used to support project coordination, local production support, accommodation, catering and creative participation costs during the development and delivery of the project. The project will also support local businesses through the use of local services and suppliers throughout the production process. The project aims to create opportunities for emerging creatives and participants to gain practical experience within a professional creative environment while helping strengthen creative activity within Ayr, Prestwick and surrounding coastal communities.
Location: The project will primarily support creative activity and project coordination based from Fulfilment Pictures Ltd while delivering activity across Ayr, Prestwick and surrounding coastal communities within South Ayrshire.
Proposed on behalf of: Fulfilment Pictures Ltd Fulfilment Pictures Ltd is an independent film and arts organisation based in South Ayrshire, established in 2020. The organisation focuses on film production, creative development and supporting grassroots creative opportunities within Scotland. Over the past six years, Fulfilment Pictures Ltd has collaborated with a range of creative organisations, industry professionals, festivals, educational institutions and local businesses. The company has previously secured support through Creative Scotland and continues to develop projects that support emerging creatives, local collaboration and skills development within the arts sector. The project will also involve collaboration with local freelancers, creative participants and South Ayrshire based businesses through the use of local services, accommodation, catering and production support. We also intend to explore opportunities for engagement with the University of the West of Scotland in Ayr to support emerging creative talent and practical industry experience.
