In relation to the identified priorities in the Guidance & Essential criteria what will your idea achieve and who will benefit from your project?

We need our HQ to be attractive and welcoming, as an inspiration of what can be done to regenerate the main street, engaging the whole community in regeneration the town centre, restoring civic pride and creating opportunities for employment, volunteering and the community voices to be listened to.

Please describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? (i.e., purchase equipment/resources)

We have leased a property on Dalrymple Street to act as our Headquarters: Office, Shop and Community Hub. We need to have the shop front painted and a hard-wearing laminate floor laid in the main body of the premises that can handle a lot of foot traffic for years to come, while also acting as a form of insulation to decrease our heating bills and carbon footprint. This funding will allow us to do the work and also fitout the premises to a high standard, ready to welcome the community and our staff.
