This proposal seeks funding to support the purchase and servicing of essential green maintenance equipment for the 2025/26 season and beyond. Our club relies heavily on the dedication of our volunteer greenkeeper, who maintains the green with limited machinery. To ensure the continued quality and safety of our playing surface, we require investment in key equipment upgrades.
Our bowling green is a vital community asset, used by members and visitors throughout the season. Obtaining this funding would mean we can concentrate our efforts on improving the green to a standard that will attract new members to the club and encourage others to take up the sport, including our youngest citizens of Ayrshire and Arran.
Maintenance is currently carried out by a single greenkeeper using aging and partially functional equipment. This has led to increased manual labour, reduced efficiency, and rising maintenance costs.
Recent assessments have identified areas for immediate improvement and are listed in the 'estimated cost of project section.

- Replacement of a broken chain on the winter lawnmower.
- Acquisition of a new, reliable lawnmower to replace outdated machinery.
