The funding received will directly support the creation of a pop-up museum within the Broadway’s foyer, to preserve the collective memories of cinema-going in South Ayrshire and become the first indoor museum experience in Prestwick in living memory.

This is a community-led project to create and then manage a stunning artwork in a disused railway tunnel on an active-travel path at Alloway. To date we have involved over 2,000 local people mainly from schools and colleges but also involving the older generation to create the artwork under the guidance of a professional muralist. We believe involving so many of our local communities will provide a sense of ownership and help safeguard the artwork created.

We want to ensure that our hub has facilities that allows us to offer a range of activities for young people and adults. Our work at Whitletts and particularly in the hub will support all the priorities from the CLD Plan. We will have activities and drops in for adults, young people and volunteers and we will provide support with financial wellbeing/ inclusion including fuel and food poverty support.

We’ll offer workshops, talks, and enterprise support for adults and families, creating a welcoming space to learn, grow ideas, and bring positive activity back to Newmarket Street.

Installing patio furniture and planters will create a welcoming space for the sheltered housing residents, encouraging socialising, reducing isolation, and supporting wellbeing and community spirit.The residents of Morrison Gardens Sheltered Housing complex would like to improve the communal patio area by purchasing patio furniture and planters to create a more welcoming and accessible outdoor environment. Residents will be able to come together to relax, connect with others, and enjoy time out

Adult & Family Learning: Practical skills-building that enhances confidence, resilience and wellbeing. Youth Work: Young carers gain life saving capabilities and positive peer learning. Community Development: Strengthens local networks, fosters inter agency collaboration and mutual support.

The Night Before Christmas Campaign is a local registered charity which helps local children and vulnerable adults at Christmas and throughout the year who are living in poverty. Due to the cost of living crisis there are a growing number of families who struggle at Christmas. Christmas 2024 we helped 8072 children and vulnerable adults to bring some magic to them at Christmas. We provide red bags full of joy which consist of Pyjama's, stationary, underwear, a toy or game and chocolate.

Priorities 1/3/4. Community wide, male & female, adults and children are given the opportunity to play community sport in a fully inclusive environment. Encouraging active lifestyles and providing a safe space for social development.

New kayaking equipment and pontoon ladder will allow us to safely expand boating activities for more of our cadets, supporting youth development for years to come and community engagement.
