BLUE HEALTH Programme: Our proposed project expands on a successful pilot programme by Adventure Carrick of Blue and Green Health programmes in South Ayrshire. Through a consortium approach with The Outdoor Partnership and Adventure Carrick who are both local outdoor adventure organisations, Troon Water Sports Hub as the lead organization, will develop and deliver activities such as blue and green health walks, beach bathing, snorkel trails, SUP paddling and surfing.

To convert the existing Shed at Annbank Village Hall mwhich is not being used into a designated IT hub consisting workstations to house 8/10 Laptops, 2 printers and Projection Screen for the purposes of offering individuals of all ages the opportunity of learning new Information Technology skills and to facilitate a need for Internet access and printing facilities which might not be readily available at home. This will facilitate a provision of IT access for the community with free classes.

The Iris Studio Renovation

The Iris Ayr will open an accessible community studio space in the former Borderline Theatre building. This will provide a safe and friendly community space for residents of Ayr North and beyond, reaching all across South Ayrshire. The building will provide a home for exciting new artistic activity, including workshops, film screenings, dance performances, intimate theatre, gallery space and a venue to share experiences and tell the stories of our diverse communities.
Refurbished Bikes for New Riders in Ayr South and Villages

Community Gift Exchange SCIO proposes to refurbish and distribute 10 bikes to adults living in the area who would like to enjoy the health and wellbeing, and cost saving benefits of riding a bike but, impacted by the cost of living crisis, are not able to afford to buy a safe and affordable bike themselves. Producing the bikes in our Ayr based Cycle Works also provides additional training and inclusion volunteering opportunities for young people, people with disabilities, and retired people.
