After the recent bout of storms and severe weather we have quickly learned that we are not fully equipped to deal with power cuts. We want to increase our community resilience by providing power (in the form of a generator) and a warm space in our community centre, plus provide torches, hot food and drinks for the community, including housebound residents who cannot be moved to the community centre.

The Iris Ayr: Studio Renovation and Opening

The Iris Ayr will open an accessible community studio space in the former Borderline Theatre building. This will provide a safe and friendly community space for residents of Ayr North and beyond, provide a home for exciting new artistic activity, including workshops, film screenings, dance performances, intimate theatre, gallery space and a venue to share experiences and tell the stories of our diverse communities.
