Governing Document
Who can share project proposals on Thriving Places?
We welcome project proposals from any community group or organisation working in South Ayrshire that has a governing document. A governing document outlines the formal rules about how your board will govern and make decisions. Depending on your type of organisation your governing document might be called; 'the constitution', 'the memorandum and articles of association', 'the trust deed' or 'the rules'. If you do not have a governing document and would like help with this, please contact: thrivingcommunities@south-ayrshire.gov.uk
Types of groups or organisations may include:
- Community Councils
- Development Trusts
- Constituted Community Groups (including sports clubs)
- Registered Charities
- Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisations (SCIO)
- Social Enterprises and other Not-for-profit (NFP) organisations
- Community Interest Companies (CIC) with no private benefit
- Community Housing Trusts
- Partnerships made up of any of the above groups
Individuals cannot share project proposals on Thriving Places unless they are doing so on behalf of a community-based group or organisation working in South Ayrshire that has a governing document.
If you are unsure if your group or organisation can upload a project proposal, please email grants@south-ayrshire.gov.uk
