The regeneration of The Kings Arms Community Pub & Hub, a community owned building, will result in place-based transformation and support the economic, social and physical regeneration and sustainability of Ballantrae and the surrounding area. It will create a fully inclusive, accessible, sustainable business providing hospitality training and employment for at least 10 local residentsPlease describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? The Regeneration will increase accessibility and inclusivity by improving access to the building, adding accessible toilet facilities and changing places, improving toilets including adding ladies toilets to the public bar for the first time ever, upgrading all 8 bedrooms to ensuite, improving managers accommodation, creating a sustainable business offering local employment and training as demonstrated by our latest Business Plan. By Year 3, the Kings Arms will generate £50,000 annual revenue from accommodation and food & drink services services, with refurbished rooms achieving 70% occupancy. This will provide revenue for The Ballantrae Trust, the local charity and anchor organisation to support their community objects
