BLUE HEALTH Programme:
Our proposed project expands on a successful pilot programme by Adventure Carrick of Blue and
Green Health programmes in South Ayrshire. Through a consortium approach with The Outdoor
Partnership and Adventure Carrick who are both local outdoor adventure organisations, Troon
Water Sports Hub as the lead organization, will develop and deliver activities such as blue and green
health walks, beach bathing, snorkel trails, SUP paddling and surfing.
Please describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? (i.e., purchase equipment/resources)
The money will allow us to purchase 4 paddle boards, that can be used by young people and local youth clubs etc. having additional paddle boards will also help in developing the equipment we have for the new Water Sports facility.
Location: The events will take place on Barrasie beach in the area of the proposed Troon Water Sports Hub
