Insulation of KA19 Youth Hub
In relation to the identified priorities in the Guidance & Essential criteria what will your idea achieve and who will benefit from your project?
The Development Grant will boost the environmental sustainability of a community building which is dedicated to youth at this time but has the potential to benefit the whole community. It will have immediate benefit for the young people, their families and the wider community by providing a warm, welcoming space thanks to this vital insulation which will prevent 25% or more of heat loss through the roof.
Please describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? (i.e., purchase equipment/resources)
The money will be used immediately insulate the large uninsulated roof space of the KA19 building, formerly Goudies in Maybole.. Goudies closed its owners claimed because of huge energy bills.
