In relation to the identified priorities in the Guidance & Essential criteria what will your idea achieve and who will benefit from your project?

We want to ensure that our hub has facilities that allows us to offer a range of activities for young people and adults. Our work at Whitletts and particularly in the hub will support all the priorities from the CLD Plan. We will have activities and drops in for adults, young people and volunteers and we will provide support with financial wellbeing/ inclusion including fuel and food poverty support.

Please describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? (i.e., purchase equipment/resources)

This funding would allow Vics to purchase furniture for our community Hub, the hub is due to open at the end of July and we are required to purchase furnitire including tables, chairs and fixtures and fittings to make the place somewhere the community feel proud of. The focus has been the capital works to get the pavilion ready and we now need furniture for inside the hub area. to help offer activities.

Location: Vics are based in Whitletts within North Ayr. The postcode and area is among the top 5% areas of deprivation in Scotland with a number of social and economic challenges. Vics have the 25 year lease for this facility and are keen to develop the site and ensure it is accessible for the whole community.
