In relation to the identified priorities in the Guidance & Essential criteria what will your idea achieve and who will benefit from your project?

The equipment purchased will be used to provide Walking Tours in different locations across North and South Carrick. These will be tailored for all ages and provide families the opportunity to improve their wellbeing through knowing more about their local area and getting exercise. The walks will also work in conjunction with local youth organisations to encourage physical activity through walking. A game will also be manufactured that will allow families to continue their learning at home.

Please describe what you plan to do and what the money will be used for? (i.e., purchase equipment/resources)

Provide walking tours across North Carrick working with local organisations to facilitate these. This will require purchasing a waistband amplifier (essentially a speaker) so that everyone can hear what is being said. Purchasing High-Viz jackets for those particpating as guide leaders. A portable stool for those who may require a rest break. 

We also want to manufacture a card game that will be unique in that is will be themed on Carrick and its recent and distant history. This will provide oppourtunities for families to continue their learning and fun at home while also providing a way for young people to learn about their local community and inspire them to get involved in the future.
